Special Victory Toasted Lager: After 2 years of bringing out our old recipes and creating new recipes, we have learned what we like.  This is the ABS signature craft brew.  If we were a brewery, this would be our house beer.  It does not follow a style guidline, and shows in its uniqueness.  Utilizing our favorite Special Roast and Victory toasted malts along with our favorite hop profile for this golden bronze colored beer, we are sure you will enjoy the encounter with this ABS treat.  We have both the Lager and the Ale forms of this recipe available.  The major difference is the yeast and temperature along with a bit more color with the Ale (SRM 15 vs 13).  Thanks for a great 2 years of service to our company.  Here's to our loyal customers who enjoy quality and freshness.  Cheers!

Special Victory Toasted Ale: After 2 years of bringing out our old recipes and creating new recipes, we have learned what we like.  This is the ABS signature craft brew.  If we were a brewery, this would be our house beer.  It does not follow a style guidline, and shows in its uniqueness.  Utilizing our favorite Special Roast and Victory toasted malts along with our favorite hop profile for this beer, we are sure you will enjoy the encounter with this ABS treat.

Happnin' Hazel NutBrown Ale: An ABS creation of the classic NutBrown style with the perfect amount of high quality hazelnut extract. What a combo.  A must-brew.

Happenstance Hazelnut Stout: Blend together a smooth stout with the perfect amount of hazelnut extract to compliment the Magnum and Styrian Golding hops.  Enjoy.  We sure did.

Ragged Mountain Roggenbier "Rye Beer": For all you Weizen lovers out there, this classic recipe is sure to be a hit.  Using Rye Malt and a traditional recipe dating back to the 15th century, we bring to you a unique beer style that is difficult to find on the commercial market.  We are sure you will enjoy this special treat with friends and family.  Cheers from ABS.

North Country Maple Amber Ale: In the North Country, when fall hits, it's all about the maple syrup.  Celebrate the fall with us by brewing up a batch of Maple Amber Ale.  Seek out the best maple syrup, find harmony with nature, and have a taste of the gold.

145º Pale Ale (New Econ Brew Series): Trying to save money on homebrewing, yet do not wish to jepardize quality?  This recipe kicks off our new Econ Brews Series of recipes.  Lower gravity, lower cost, same ABS QUALITY!

Check Out our New Stouts Collection Section!  Fall/Winter SALE!

As homebrewers tired of flimsy beer recipes, ABS began with the idea of designing BIG partial mash beer recipes with character.  You will not find commercial pre-packaged kits here.  We package everything from bulk raw ingredients from our own tested recipes.  Our hops are even weighed and packaged by hand in our special oxygen barrier vacuum bags.  Because we have gone the extra mile in designing our brews, many customers have reported that our recipes will produce beers that are much better than other homebrew store recipes out there, simply because it's freshly packaged and we give you more.  The majority of our recipe packages give between 2-4 pounds of malted grain, and at least 3, sometimes 5 additions of hops.  Additionally, for some recipes, we include our own spice blends, cinnamon sticks, Madagascar vanilla beans, hazelnut and cherry fruit extracts.  Because of this, our recipes produce beers with high gravity, and hop profiles that can meet the requirements of traditional beer style BU/GU ratio guidelines.  In other words, our beers are exceptionally good because they are BIG and well balanced.

As you might have read in the news, hops and grain have significantly gone up in price.  We have seen an easy 5-fold increase in hop prices and about a 30% increase in grain prices, which has also increased the cost of Dry Malt Extract.  As all homebrew stores, our recipe prices have gone up slightly in response to the current market.  It's simple: the higher the recipe price, the more grain, hops and adjucts = the bigger and better the beer.  We just wanted to inform the public that you will find our pricing competitive, fair and reflective of what you get for your money.   Because of the high market price changes for hops and grain/extract, we are now making an effort to focus on lower gravity, well-balanced brews along with our normal big beer recipes, which will start off our new ECON BREWS section.  Also, watch for our monthly sale items, priced at 15% off.  Cheers!

Well, Summer is winding down, and Fall time is not far away.  Now is the time to be preparing for your Fall time brewing.  Now would be a good time to brew up a batch of the Autumnic Oktoberfest Marzenbier and let that lager until October.  Also keep in mind that pumpkins are an incredible addition to beer.  Check out both our Carter Mountain Pumpkin Ale and our Stuarts Draft Pumpkin Lager.  We have quite a few beers that we have launched this summer that we are excited about.  If you like stouts and brown ales, you are going to love the Old Schule Munich Dunkel, as this has become one of our favorite new ABS recipes - there is nothing else out there that compares to this flavor.  It is never a bad time to brew up Kolsch, so try our Gruitherren of Koln's Kolsch. The Cherry Bomb Stout packs a punch, our Rogue Hazelnut Brown Netar clone is killer . . . The list goes on, so check out our Original Recipes section.  We are very excited about the original Full Nelson Pale Ale recipe from our local Blue Mountain Brewery. We have some great new recipes planned for the late Fall and Winter, please see our pipeline section. The 2008 brewing year has been a great one.  We look forward to continue serving you.  Now, don't just sit there! - fire up those burners, time to start brewing . . .
